How not to ask for help finding a job?
Just got a message on my Linkedin from a stranger, Don’t remember how we connected, check here.
Read through the message, it’s all about what HE WANTS, NOTHING about what I might need or how it can be helpful. Makes me rethink of every time I have approached people on Linkedin. I hope I don’t commit the same mistakes.
Did I take the time to be considerate, connect and think about what what other people want. If not this is a reminder to connect to people on their needs about what they would want, not just pushing what I want.
As a famous quote said, “You can get everything you want in life, if you just help enough other people get what they want.”
